History: Baorn grew up in a litter of three, all long gone after the Nomads captured him as a pup. Too young to remember much about them, Baorn began his memory with an upbringing with the Nomads. The man who kept him didn't keep him in a cage. Baorn learned to sit, stay and follow his master at his side. The sound of crackling thunder scared him in his younger months, but the man didn't let him cower. He needed to learn not to be afraid. Moruk didn't like him. The strange domestic canines seemed more than willing to listen to the master, but they hated the command to follow Baorn while they pulled the wooden sled. They insults fell to the wind, however, at least until they were home. When the master went to sleep, they would gang up on him. The master didn't treat his wounds, he needed to learn self-control even if the others didn't.

The thrill of the hunt distracted Baorn and he liked that he could run about and not in treads like the rest of his kin. His life was a harsh one, but was it truly? He had a bed, scraps from the masters table instead of raw fish. He even spent time with the master on long walks in the forest. This time he like since the Moruk stayed behind. The master fished the river and hunted his own game. It seemed that nothing would deter his like for the life he knew. Baorn knew he was different. The reality of that wouldn't kick in until one morning during a hunt that he realized he belonged elsewhere.

Baorn hunted deer with the master. The sled team stayed behind as usual. The master carried a bow with him and the crackle stick as will. Baorn took point on the hunt, following a trail he knew nearly by heart after three years of hunting with the master. The deer hadn't gone far. Baorn crept low, ready to ambush, the master stringing his bow. The wolf had been upwind of them, Baorn wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the wolf crashing into the master. The death of the man was quick, possibly even painless. Baorn, trained to defend his master, attacked this strange wolf and the wrestling rolled the two of them about the area, the nearby deer, forgotten even before they knew it fled. Boarn saw nothing but red but the battle was won. He had been trained to defend, to fight, but all he enjoyed was the hunt.

Baorn wanted nothing more than to remain by his masters side. Struck with grief, he laid beside him for many days before he left. The attack left Baorn with a strive to be of the hunt. He didn't know what to feel for the wolf he'd killed. His master had raised him and that was all he missed. Empty, he reached on before he arrived in the Emerald Forest. What was he to do if he met another wolf? Attack them too?
