Rising Spirits Ritual

About the Ritual
Fpr all members to earn their rank, they must overcome trials that shape the character into the person they've been destined to be. These trials are endued alone in a dream state caused by ingesting the petals of the Moon Flower. The pack Shaman will supervise the consumption of the Moon Flower to prevent the deeper effects of consuming the flower if the consumer is not careful. Once digested, the pack member is watched over during the deep sleep that can last anywhere between three to five days. The trials of the dream can range between simple tasks related to their rank or a self-improvement of overcoming a flaw that might hinder the pack members ability to complete their duties. A Dream State cannot be interrupted unless the participant has completed the trial(s).

Preparing for the Ritual
Trials are decided by the members participating in the Rising Spirits Ritual. A pack members needs to visit a Shaman to prepare for the Ritual. The Shaman will ask that you to think of a marking that represents your rank to be painted on you to allow safe passage in and out of the Dream. While in Dream State, a Shaman or herbalist will remain to ensure the wolf has no complication. The participant will then create a separate thread for their trials are write out the experience of their character completing the trial in a minimum of at least 200 words.

After the Ritual
Upon waking from the Dream State, the Harbinger or rank Lead will be present to congratulate and bestow the rank of the wolfs choosing. Members will not need to do another Ritual for a rank change. They will need to create an Event thread for their character to go through their change and what brought them to the idea of changing ranks. The event thread can be solo like the Ritual or you can have a discussion with your Lead or the Harbinger.

Now that you are a member of your rank, you start out as a Novice. There are thresholds in the ranks to identify the level of experience and reputation in the pack that are earned by completing tasks for your rank and participating in pack events.
